Enjoy a lecture by National Teacher, Gyleen X. Fitzgerald, followed by the Members Luncheon, a brief meeting, a Showcase of NY Quilt & Fiber Art Teachers, a display of the 2021 Mystery Quilts, some Wee Little Quilts on sale and more!
Gyleen’s Lecture – It’s a Polygon Affair: Step outside the “square” to evaluate the mechanics of Pyramid, Diamond, Kite and Hexagon quilts. Features quilts from the Polygon Affair Series I & II.
Showcase of NY State Teachers: Guild Program Chairpeople will enjoy this opportunity to see what new and exciting things are being offered by QCNYS Quilt & Fiber Teachers! Book a lecture/trunk show, an in-person class or a Zoom class!

Sewciety Night
Friday, August 26, 2022 (check-in begins at 3:00 PM)
Long drive to the meeting!?? We’ve got you covered! Come early and join us the afternoon and night before the meeting with new and old friends. Bring a hand-sewing project (crochet, knit, embroidery, bind a quilt, etc.!) or just come to relax and chat.
The evening includes “Mail Order Bride” presented by The Quilt Lady, Kathleen Wiggs and the next day Gyleen X. Fitzgerald lecture/ trunk show, Members Luncheon, Teacher Showcase and QCNYS Membership Meeting.
(1 night/double occupancy, 3 meals = Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast & Members Luncheon)

Sunny Side Up, a Master Class with Gyleen X. Fitzgerald
Friday, August 26, 9:00AM – 4:00PM
Class limited to 20 students on a first-come, first serve basis
Sign-up will open on February 1, 2022 to give Member Representatives the opportunity to get the word to their guilds!
Sunny Side Up: A field of sunflowers just makes you happy. Recreate your favorite sunflowers or imagine electric new varieties. Sunny Side Up cleverly uses two sizes of kite polygon cut from 3” and 5½” strips. You will learn how to construct a perfect “Crisscross” and “Butterfly Seam” for effortless stitching. It’s so easy – you’ll fall in love.

Spend your days and nights sewing with all meals and lodging provided! Quilt Divas will be ready to help you with projects and have a special little project to share with you. Enjoy the inspiration of old and new friends!
