QCNYS Fall Quarterly Meeting RegistrationSaturday, October 12, 2024(Register by October 1, 2024)Camp Cory on Keuka Lake140 E. Lake Road Route 54Penn Yan, NY 14527Click here for Registration, Agenda and Informationqcnys.org/meetingregistration/Hopefully, you have already heard that we have had to cancel the Best of NY quilt show. Instead, we will have a fall quarterly meeting on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Camp Cory on Keuka Lake. We hope that you will attend because we have lots to discuss.Since we were looking forward to seeing many beautiful quilts, we have reimagined a way to let us enjoy and celebrate members’ quilts. At the meeting, we will have a “The Parade of Quilts”. Everyone is invited to bring one quilt to the meeting. If you won an award of excellence or invitational award from QCNYS or from your guild, you can bring that quilt; if you participated in a QCNYS challenge (most recently, the Joy challenge) or mystery quilt, you can bring that quilt; if you just have a favorite quilt that you want us to see, you can bring that. Periodically, throughout the meeting, we’ll ask a group of people to walk around the room and let us admire their quilts. Since the show is listed in the Passport, if you bring your passport to the meeting, you will get a stamp. At least 2 vendors, Fluffy’s Quilt Patch Plus and Sally’s Emporium, will be at the meeting. We will have Wee Little Quilts for sale to benefit next year's scholarships and some great raffle baskets (one of which will be only for passport holders)!During the meeting, Karen Miller, a Master Educator for Aurifil thread, will present an inspiring and informative program that is “All about Thread.” Karen will review available thread weights, needle sized and tension settings so you can achieve brilliant results with a variety of thread weights. Lunch and all of the above is included with your $10 registration fee. (Pay at the Door)As part of the show, we planned a special class with Karen Miller. This class will still occur, from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm, after the main meeting. Registration for both the meeting and class together is $40. (Pay in Advance)
