Mohawk Valley Quilt Club is pleased to invite the public to its Fall Festival of Quilts. The three-day fundraising event will be held at the Utica Curling Club, 8300 Clark Mills Rd, Whitesboro, NY 13492, from September 11th-12th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day and on September 13th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.MVQC hosts a large, three-day quilt show every two years, which is the primary source of operating funds for the all-volunteer nonprofit organization. The guild has been hosting bi-annual quilt shows in the Utica area for decades.The 2026 MVQC Show plans include• Ribbons for first through third place will be awarded in a variety of categories, including Best of Show, Best Hand Quilting, Best Machine Quilting, Judge’s Choice, Viewer’s Choice and others• Hundreds of quilts, including many patriotic quilts, will be on display.• A large number of vendor/exhibitor booths featuring fabric, notions, sewing and gift items• Informal sit and stitch sessions will feature members sharing their wool applique skills• Lunch and snack options will be available for purchase in the dining area• Kids Can Sew (Saturday & Sunday) features a project children can complete using a sewing machine with the guidance of a club member• Meet the Member will showcase the quilting journey of a founding member• Single-day tickets are $5 each (at the door). Kids 12 and under are free. Facility is handicapped accessible.There will be two types of raffles at the show. Pop Tart is a whimsical wool applique on cotton raffle quilt which measures 64” by 75”. Also to be raffled are 24 clear totes filled with a variety of items, something to interest everyone. The winning tickets will be drawn at the end of the show on Sunday, September 13th at approximately 3:00 pm. Tickets for each raffle can be purchased at the show.Mohawk Valley Quilt Club was established in 1979 for the purpose of encouraging education & participation in the making of quilts, the history of quilt making & other needlers. The Keuka Quilters will be hosting the September quarterly meeting on Saturday, September 19 in Penn Yan, NY. Immediately following the meeting they will be offering the opportunity to take a class with Judy Fenton of Millcreek Sewing and Fabric. The class will be on collage quilting and does not require a sewing machine. If you have been curious about collage quilting this is a great mini project to explore the technique.
